021 210 5444When the Otago Central Railway, now the Otago Central Rail Trail, was closed, many of the station buildings were given away or sold off to begin new lives. Part of the Waipiata station building was transported up the road to Komako, or to give the property its historic name, Idylwild, to be used as an outbuilding. It's doubtful however that anyone at the time imagined its conversion to guest Accommodation.
Grant and Heather have changed the frontage yet it retained its historical weathered exterior. But inside it's a story of total comfort and refurbishment.
Guest facilities in The Clematis Room include electric blankets, quality bed linen, feather duvet, heating.
